Cards..... and North Bristol Arts Trail!

It's Thursday 27th and all go!! I'm almost ready for the art trail but can't believe how many last minute jobs seem to continue to crop up. Including cleaning and de-cluttering my house. I hate cleaning!

Rachel organised getting some cards printed ready for the art show this weekend. And today I sold some cards without really trying. I was just showing them to a colleague and he asked 'how much are they?' and bought 4. I was so excited!!

I've also approached a shop and someone else now. So I may have a side line in cards :-)

The North Bristol arts trail is on all weekend. Come to my venue tomorrow night for mulled wine and mince pies and a bit of music... or at any time between 10 and 6 on Saturday and Sunday. Check all the artists out on www.northbristolartists.org.uk

Passion!

Passion flowers are amazing. The colours and the wierd sahpes in the centre make me want to paint them again and again.

Surf

I love the sea and especially the surf. This is just a sketch but I've had good feedback on it so I thought I'd post it!

Nectarines

I'm really pleased with this. It looks like a bowl of apples rather than netcarines but I still like the colours and composition?

Lilly2

A small picture for a card run.

Blue background

A recent acrylic. Not at all what I had planned to do but I think it still worked out ok.

1989 inspiration

This painting is very different to my other watercolours and was inspired after a trip to St. Ives. I visted a gallery where the flower paintings were very big, bold, colourful and almost cartoonlike in simplicity. As soon as I got home I got an A4 sheet of water colour paper out and did this!

Sunflower

This painting was done for a dear friend whom I no longer get to see :-(
It was my first real go at acrylics and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. It developed over a couple of weeks dominating the lounge of the flat I was living in at the time. It pretty much dominated me at the time too?
